Let us prepare our hearts to worship the Lord this Sunday.

Corporate Confession of Sin

Below is the Confession that we will be saying together corporately, as a church body. Please read it and pray through it to prepare your heart for worship this Sunday.

Our Father in Heaven, your Word says that you have exalted your Son to the highest place and yet we must admit, we rarely give Christ the glory He is worthy of. We know so much about all that Christ suffered to redeem us and yet we so often lack the gratitude fitting for such a sacrificial act. You say that Christ should be preeminent, but that is often not the case in our hearts. Please forgive us for our idolatrous love of everything and anything other than Christ. Thank you for pursuing and regenerating our hearts when we were running from you, spiritually dead in our sins. We are so unworthy of the love you have lavished on us and yet you continue to lavishly bless us in so many ways. Please transform our hearts to love Christ more this day than we did yesterday. We pray in Jesus’s name, Amen.

Songs

Our songs for this Sunday’s worship:

Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery
All Creatures of Our God and King
It Is Well with My Soul
All Sufficient Merit

Sermon

This Week's Sermon Passage

Colossians 1:15-20
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. 19 For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.
