Let us prepare our hearts to worship the Lord this Sunday.
This Sunday, we will be celebrating the Lord’s Supper. Let us examine our hearts in preparation.
“Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgement on himself.”
1 Cor. 11: 28-29
This Sunday we will be Professing our Faith during worship by reading aloud the answer to Q87 from the Westminster Shorter Catechism. Please read it ahead of time below to prepare your heart!
Q87. What is repentance unto life?
Repentance unto life is a saving grace, by which a sinner, being truly aware of his sinfulness, understands the mercy of God in Christ, grieves for and hates his sins, and turns from them to God, fully intending and striving for a new obedience.
Questions from The Westminster Shorter Catechism in Modern English by Douglas F. Kelly and Philip Rollinson.
