Let us prepare our hearts to worship the Lord this Sunday.
This week in our Order of Worship, we will join together in a time of Corporate Confession of Sin. Please take a moment to read the confession below and prayerfully prepare your heart as we come before the Lord together.
Heavenly Father, we confess that we too often love this world and seek to find our pleasure in the transient things of this world. We frequently have lost sight of heaven and Christ. We are fixated on trivial things. We are far too easily satisfied and have made idols of so many things that steal our affections from loving you and desiring to be with you in the new heavens and the new earth forever. Please help us lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith.
