Let us prepare our hearts to worship the Lord this Sunday.
This Sunday, we will be celebrating the Lord’s Supper. Let us examine our hearts in preparation.
“Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgement on himself.”
1 Cor. 11: 28-29
Since the time of the Apostles, Christians have publicly confessed their faith because Christ instructs us to do so. It also helps to correct false beliefs, create unity, and build our understanding of and confidence in Christ. This week we will be professing the Apostle’s Creed together as a body, please read and prepare your heart to worship the Lord this Sunday.
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth;
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
